Teamwork- SHINee+SuJu

Leeteuk agreed to meet with Jonghyun after the show at a café close by. He didn't ask any questions and was very professional about it, though Jonghyun could see that questioning look in his eyes. The other members of Super Junior also gave him weird looks as he left the dressing room, but Jonghyun didn't care.


Jonghyun bought coffee for the both of them. Leeteuk thanked him and waited patiently for Jonghyun to begin to speak.

"I realize that you don't really know Lee Jinki but I thought since you where the leader of such an amazing group maybe you would know what to do." Leeteuk nodded slightly. "I think that Jinki is starving himself and working too hard because he doesn't think he is good enough. He's stopped talking to us and he is barely home. When he is home, he sleeps. I don't know what to do." Jonghyun stopped.

Leeteuk sipped his coffee and smiled. "I think that I can help. Some of the other members in Super Junior have gone through phases like this and so have I. Here is what I want to do." Leeteuk began to explain a plan, leaning forward.

After much arguing, Jonghyun convinced his hyung to cancel his plans for the day and get into the car with the rest of the members. Only the driver and Jonghyun knew where they were going, but Taemin and Kibum were very excited.

On the way there, Jinki fell asleep in the car, his hair covering his eyes. Jonghyun looked at him and sighed. His phone began to vibrate and looked down to see that Leeteuk was calling him. He answered to phone to hear someone scream in excitement. Minho looked at him and raised his eyebrows but Jonghyun just motioned for him not to pay attention.

"Are you guys on the way?" Leeteuk asked after telling someone to calm down.

"Yeah. Jinki is asleep right now but where about half way there. I'm guessing that everything is set up?" Jonghyun asked.

"Yep. Some of the members are very excited, as you can hear. Well we'll see you soon." Leeteuk said, hanging up the phone.

Heechul and Hangeng met the car outside and opened the door. Jonghyun had woken Jinki up a few minutes earlier but he looked confused at the people who were helping him out of the car. Before he could ask Jonghyun what was going on, he was rushed inside and into a small room. Inside, Jinki found another member of Super Junior. The leader, Leeteuk.

"You must be confused." Leeteuk said calmly.

"I am." Jinki said to him.

"Well, I am Park Jungsu, also known as Leeteuk. It was brought to my attention that you're not being very nice to your body. As your hyung and as a fellow idol, I want to help you. So, you need to change into this. I'll be waiting outside." Jinki looked at the suit that sat in front of him and turned back to the closed door. He had no idea what was going on, but Leeteuk's word had hit home.

"Leeteuk?" Jinki said, opening the door and looking around.

"He had to go do some things. He asked me to help you finish getting ready. My name is Sungmin!" Jinki introduced himself and followed Sungmin into a new room.

Sungmin offered Jinki a seat and a glass of water, which Jinki took readily, finding himself suddenly very nervous and thirsty. Sungmin sat across from him and began to roll up the sleeves of his jacket.

"I did this to myself a few years ago. I thought that I had no were else to turn. I would've killed myself expect for the fact that Kyuhyun found out. He helped me find the light again and helped me realize that I was not alone." Jinki looked at the silver scars that covered the idol's wrists. He had never realized then before but then again he had never been close to him. "Anyway, I just don't want someone as talented and lucky as you to throw away your life. Just remember that. Heechul will be here shortly to take you to the next room. Please wait here."

Thoughts of what the last two Super Junior members had said to him swirled around his head. He unconsciously began to rub his wrists. He wondered how they knew what he was doing to himself but above all, he was worried about himself now.  The room was extremely quiet and he felt himself beginning to fall asleep. He sat up and shook his head, trying to stay awake. Luckily someone knocked on the door.

"Enter!" Jinki said, turning to see a blonde boy entering.

"Hi, my name is Heechul! Let's go to the next room!"Jinki hesitated before following the blonde down the hall. They turned the corner to hear loud music coming from an open door. "In you go, to the room with the open door!"

Jinki nodded to Heechul and entered the room. Inside was a group of three members, two of which were dancing and a third which was lifting weights. They all turned to him and one of the dancers went over and turned off the music.

"Hey! Welcome to one of our practice rooms. My name is Siwon, and this is Donghae and Eunhyuk. We have a movie prepared for you!" Jinki looked at them, tugging slightly on the sleeve to his tux.

"Now, sit there and we'll begin!" Donghae motioned to a seat while Eunhyuk pulled the doors to the practice room shut.

"Now, for the entertainment and the educational purposes of Park Jinki, my friends and I would like to present a day in Super Junior." The lights dimmed and suddenly the wall opposite Jinki turned into a huge movie screen.

The movie started showing Leeteuk wake up different members. Some woke up straight away and some took time getting up. Still, it made Jinki laugh. Then it moved on to show clips of them practicing and eating and so forth. Jinki could see the bond that they all had and it made his chest hurt. It then moved on to show the interaction of many members. Jinki felt a tear roll down his face as he watched it.  When the movie finished, Donghae turned back on the lights, making Jinki turn his face away, trying to hide his tears.

"Wow, are you okay?" Donghae looked at Jinki, gently touching his shoulder. They all jumped when Jinki stood up and looked at them, grinning widely and trying to stuff his pain back into the back of his head.

"You know, maybe we should go get you a glass of water! How about you stay here, and we'll be right back!" Eunhyuk said, pushing his other to members out of the room and shutting the door.

Jinki slide down the wall, covering his face. The images of the movie where almost too much. What Leeteuk said was almost too much. What Sungmin had showed him, the part of the life he had shared was almost too much. Jinki felt like he was suffocating under the pressure of this band. In the silence of the room, he could feel the days of not eating and sleeping approaching him quickly. Soon, he wouldn't be able to take it.

Another knock on the door woke him from his thoughts. He told them to enter and was surprised to see his dongsaeng's to walk in. They had all change into nicer looker clothes. He met eyes with Jonghyun, who looked very nervous. Trying hard to keep his voice steady and quiet, he asked him, "did you ask them to do this." He could barely stand it. Jinki bit his lip and shut his eyes, not looking at his answer. Tears slipped past his fortress and sliding down his face.

"I'm sorry guys. I'm a horrible leader. I should resign." Jinki lowered his head, not looking at Kibum or Taemin or anyone else.  

"You know, my dongsaeng's and I didn't work that hard to do that so you can resign! Didn't you learn anything?" Leeteuk asked from the door. The band turned and looked at the leader of Super Junior who stood in the door way, wearing an all white tuxedo.  

"So, now even a surprise that Jonghyun does not know about brought to you by all of Super Junior, and a reminder of why you shouldn't even think about resigning. "Leeteuk walked over to Jinki, scolding him before helping him off the floor.

Every member of SHINee was blindfolded in the bus that was taking Super Junior to where ever they were going. Five members of Super Junior had been assigned to a member of SHINee. Leeteuk smiled as walked off the bus, escorting none other than Jinki. Cameras flashed at the sight of SHINee being blindfolded.

"Leeteuk what is going on?" Jinki asked.


"Nothing. Now come on." Leeteuk lead the blind Jinki away, the other members of Super Junior and SHINee following.

Leeteuk pulled the blindfold of Jinki as soon as they were in a dressing room. It took Jinki a few minutes to be able to see again. Then he turned and gave Leeteuk a death glare.

"Where are we? What are you doing?" Jinki asked. The other members of SHINee were also very confused. Leeteuk shrugged.

"Just try not to destroy the room. I'll have some makeup artists come in here and fix you guys up and then I'll come and get you guys when we're ready, k? So try to behave! This will help you." Leeteuk nodded before leaving. They heard the lock click.

Jinki sighed and moved to sit down again, suddenly feeling very light headed. "Jinki, what is going on?" Kibum asked.

"I have no idea. How about you ask Jonghyun because he seems to know SuJu pretty well." Jinki said, looking at Jonghyun, who looked at Jinki and shrugged.

"This wasn't what I planned. This is something Super Junior is doing. I only asked them to help you realize what you were doing was wrong." Jonghyun said.

"So what was he doing?" Taemin asked.

Jinki sighed. "I guess you have a right to know. All of you. I didn't think that I was good enough, for any of you. That's why I've been practicing so hard, and participating in many shows. I wasn't eating or sleeping properly. I didn't want you guys to think that I was a bad leader. I didn't think I was anywhere as near talented as you guys." He put his head down, keeping his face covered.

There was silence in the room for a while until Minho spoke up. "You know, if you were a bad leader or a bad artist, do you think that SHINee would have made it this far? Everyone in here has different strengths and different weaknesses. Just because you may not be good at one thing, you are amazing at many other things."

Jinki nodded but still refused to look at the other members. Taemin walked over and hugged him, whispering something to Jinki which made him laugh and make a face.  Soon, the other members were acting normal.

Leeteuk escorted the blindfolded leader of SHINee, who had changed yet again away from the room. He told them to wait for a minute and walked away. They could hear the cheering of a stage and Leeteuk's voice calling for silence. The all listened as Leeteuk began talking.

"Now today was have prepared a surprise for our lucky fans. Today, we have brought a shiny group with us who has been practicing very hard. Now, they do not know that they are here but they really need your support."

Jinki felt someone behind him began to lead him again. "If you where a real leader you would know what to do next." His guide said to him. Jinki hear all the people that had been screaming whispering as they were lead onto stage, still blindfolded. He could also their eyes boring into him. Suddenly, his blindfold was removed.

"Please welcome the shining SHINee!" Leeteuk said. It took a few seconds for Jinki to regain his sight and by then the fans were screaming. He was handed a microphone.

"Ah, well this is a surprise!" Jinki said into the microphone. Super Junior laughed behind him and the rest of SHINee agreed. Jinki looked at Jonghyun who raised his eyebrows. "Now that we are here, would you like to see us perform something?"

The stadium erupted in screams as the Super Junior fans agreed."Is that alright Leeteuk?" Jinki asked, holding his microphone away from him. Leeteuk nodded and smiled, getting the Super Junior members to file off stage.

"What song?" Taemin asked, looking at Jinki.

"What do you guys think of us singing Lucifer?" Jinki asked to the fans. They all started to scream.

Members of Super Junior brought out microphones and other stage equipment for SHINee. In less than five minutes, SHINee was ready to sing. The lights dimmed and music surrounded them. The fan's started to scream. As they sang, Jinki could feel the happiness that had abandoned his heart started to fill again. When they were done, they thanked the fans and walked off the stage. Jinki hugged Leeteuk and thanked him for everything.
